OK, with some help from a PB Works Support Person (John-Peter) and an Apture support person (Andrew), I have been able to make it work. I think it will be a great addition to my PB Wiki pages. You should check out Apture if you don't know what it is, the popups are fun and for my students, I can focus where they look.
The trick is that you insert the "embed code" at the bottom of the page in edit mode, but you actually insert the Apture links while you are in View mode. You need to first sign up for an apture account, then register your PB Wiki, for now I have registered each page I plan to use it separately, haven't tested if a generic one will work, but I think not. You then get an embedd code which you put at the bottom of the page in edit mode using HTML (Source), just above </body>. You save the page and while in view mode your Apture dashboard will pop up. (if it does, just hit the "e" key). Underline whatever you want to have an Apture link for and then put them in.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Here is a test page I am using to check out things (the top is using a different super embedd code, but the bottom part works like normal Apture, although I am not sure how long I will keep it active.
Wow! Apture is my newest favourite web tool. It's amazing. I've tested it out on the FrontPage of my wiki (t4wiki.pbworks.com click on the Trent University, second paragraph). The pedagogical uses for this are fantastic. I'm really excited to explore this more. Thank you for sharing this amazing tool.
