My username is already taken

The first time you post in the forum, you will be asked to join and create a publicly viewable username, it does not have to be the same username you use on any of your wikis.  This username is not used for logging in, it is only used for display purposes.

If you are getting an error that your username is already taken, it may be that your forum username was attached to another email address that you had on pbworks in the past.  There is no way to use this username again and you will have to pick a new username - such as adding a number, or removing some characters from your name.

I cannot create a username

The first time you post in the forum, you will be asked to join and create a publicly viewable username.  If the forum is giving you an error that the username cannot be created, it might be because you have invalid characters in the username field.  Usernames can only include letters and numbers.  They cannot include [spaces], @ symbols, periods, underscores, or other dashes.  Just remove these from your username and you'll be fine.

When I post nothing happens or I get a 404 error

If you are new to the forum, there's a chance the forum might be detecting your post as spam.  It's unfornate that we accidently flag your post as spam and we apologize.  You will just need an admin to mark you post as not spam.  We go through the forum daily, cleaning up the spam, but feel free to send us an email reminder, just email 'vincent -at- lefora.com' and he'll make sure you're not flagged as spam.

One thing that can set off the spam filter on your first few posts within the forum is if you include links.  If you are getting flagged as spam, please try to remove the links from your post and see if that helps.  After you post a few times, they system will learn that you are not a spammer and not accidently flag your posts.
