I've found that sometimes after I'm all done writing a posting, my browser unexpectedly closes, losing all my work. By composing my message in a word processor and copying/pasting it over to the forum, I don't lose my posting.
Don't you just hate having to rewrite a posting? It never seems to come out the same the second time it's written.

sorry about that Patricia, if that problem keeps occurring, could you send me an email (vincent -at- lefora.com with info about what webbrowser you're running and a copy of the text that crashed your browser? Also let me know if you were posting a new topic or replying to one.

I too have learned the hard way. Running bathwater, finding pajamas, getting a drink, etc, have all interfered with my posting and before I knew it, the screen froze or something. I now try to copy and paste too. Why is it that our first brilliant bursts of intelligence can't be reproduced when we have to redo our work? LOL

I have a question of a different type. I wanted to keep track of my posts and clicked permalink (ok I had no idea what it actually did but I was willing to try it out) and now I wonder if my replies will ever be linked to the initial post. It looks like they are just linked together and not linked to the other person's initial post I was trying to respond to or if they will just be linked for me to see. I want to use this type of forum in class so I kind of want to know how to help the kids when they experience similar problems. I 
this forum setup and plan to use it in all of my classes next year. *(part of their participation grade will be to post at least one topic and then to respond to at least 3 others)
